A truly unique restaurant! One of the best experiences we have had in San Francisco. Chef Crenn uses fresh local ingredients to create masterpieces of taste and theatrical presentation. She is very approachable to discuss her dishes and sit down with guests to have casual conversations. The menu is inspired by a poem written by the chef (which you get at the beginning of the service), and consists of a collage of smells, flavors, images, and textures, most of which are a rich celebration of nature. Every course an explosive surprise! Deserts are on par with the exceptional savory part of the menu. Several sweet courses conclude an amazing meal in the most memorably way. Of note Atelier Crenn has an amazing cheese selection! This restaurant is really the atelier of an artist! A true paradise for foodies.
